Privacy Policy — iOS App

Caliptic for iPhone is an offline translate application. Everything you say is recognized, translated, and spoken on your iPhone — your voice and your conversations are never sent to us or to any cloud service.

1. On-device by design

Speech recognition, translation, and voice synthesis all run locally on your device. Your audio, transcripts, and translations are processed in the app on your iPhone and are never transmitted to our servers or to any third party. The app works without an account and contains no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking SDKs.

2. Data we collect

None. We do not collect, store, or share any personal data. There is no account, no identifier, no usage analytics, and no crash reporting operated by us. In the App Store privacy label, this app is declared as “Data Not Collected.”

3. Microphone

The app asks for microphone permission for one purpose only: listening to live speech so it can translate it in real time. Audio is processed in memory on the device and is not recorded to a file, uploaded, or shared. You can revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings; the app simply stops translating while permission is off.

4. One-time model download

On first launch the app downloads its speech-recognition model from our public mirror on GitHub Releases, and Apple Translation language packs may be downloaded from Apple. These downloads deliver software only: the requests carry no account, no identifier, and none of your personal data. After this one-time download, the app works fully offline.

5. Purchases

Subscriptions (Caliptic Pro) are sold through Apple’s App Store using Apple’s in-app purchase system. Payment and billing are handled entirely by Apple under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy — we never receive or store your payment details. The app checks your subscription status through Apple’s StoreKit framework on the device. You can manage or cancel the subscription in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions.

6. Your rights & contact

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is normally nothing for us to access, correct, or delete. If you have any privacy question or request, contact us at [email protected]. Depending on where you live, you may have statutory rights regarding personal data; for billing data held by Apple, please also refer to Apple.

7. Children

The app is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone — including children.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available at this address, with the “last updated” date above.
