What leaves your device (and what never does)
Caliptic Translate is built so that your speech never reaches us. That claim is easy to make, so this page lists every connection the app opens and why — taken from the source code, not from marketing.
What never leaves your device
The audio from your microphone or speakers, the transcript, the translation, and any recording you make for voice cloning all stay on the machine. Speech recognition, translation and speech synthesis run locally. After the first run you can switch the network off entirely and everything still works.
Every connection the app makes
github.com/gercektasarim/models — the one-time model download on first run.
translate.caliptic.com/appcast.xml (Mac) and api.github.com (Windows) — the update check.
caliptic-translate-license.workers.dev — the subscription check, and only if you subscribe.
cdn.paddle.com — the payment page, and only while you are buying.
On Windows two optional extras exist because you choose to install them: a fallback translation model from Hugging Face, and the VB-Audio virtual cable. Nothing else. The apps contain no analytics and no crash reporting.
How to check it yourself
Start a session, then switch the computer to airplane mode or unplug the network. Translation keeps running. If you want proof at the network level, a firewall tool such as Little Snitch on Mac or Resource Monitor on Windows will show you exactly the list above — and nothing more.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no email address and no profile. A subscription is tied to your payment, not to an account you create with us.
Does the app collect usage data?
No. The apps carry no analytics, no telemetry and no crash reporting. This website counts page views through Cloudflare, which does not profile visitors; the apps do not even do that.
